Program Description

The Nurse Aide Technical Certificate of Credit prepares students with classroom training and practice as well as the clinical experiences necessary to care for patients in various settings including general medical and surgical hospitals, nursing care facilities, community care facilities for the elderly, and home health care services. Students who successfully complete the Nurse Aide technical certificate of credit may be eligible to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) which determines competency to become enrolled in the state nurse aide registry.

College Admission Requirements

Prospective students entering all degree, diploma and certificate programs must do all of the following: 

• Complete Application for Admissions ($25 Non-Refundable Fee).
• High school diploma or GED are NOT required
• Submit all Official Final College transcripts (if you wish to transfer credits). 
• Proof of US Citizenship and Proof of GA Residency.

Criminal background and drug screen (Fee is based on facility utilized for clinical. The fee for the criminal background check will increase if student has lived out of state.) Students must be 16 years of age or older to get a background check and drug screen, This is a requirement for clinical.	$80.95

For the Nurse Aide class, a required medical health packet should be completed prior to the first day of class in order to proceed to clinical. Please contact your CAP Advisor for further information.
