RNSG 1024 Transitions to Professional Nursing

This course is designed to introduce the transition process of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and the Licensed Paramedic (EMT-P). Topics in this course include the following: role transition, nursing history, current nursing trends, nursing theories, nursing process, critical thinking, professional roles, nursing responsibilities, nursing standards, nursing research, evidence-based practice, therapeutic communication, patient education, management of client care, legal/ethical considerations in nursing, and health promotion.
