DIET 2012 Diesel Power Generation Controls, Switching, and Auxiliary Systems
This course introduces control systems and protection devices utilized for electrical power generators. Topics include: controller system fundamentals, engine protective controls, generator protective controls, and the engine governor. Component systems required to maintain generator system integrity and reliability are also introduced. These include: the battery charger, engine jacket water heater, gaseous fuel, diesel, ventilation, air induction,
exhaust, and remote annunciation systems. Classroom instruction and lab demonstrations are highly emphasized.
