Program Description

The Cosmetic Esthetician program is designed to offer esthetics training for entry-level students. Completion of the program prepares students to sit for the Esthetics licensure examination given by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and to work in a variety of professions that employ estheticians in beauty salons, spas, health clubs, cosmetics stores as well as plastic surgeons' and dermatologist’s offices.

Admission Requirements

  • Submit completed application and application fee
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Submit official high school transcript or GED transcript with test scores and ALL post-secondary transcripts in an official sealed envelope
  • Meet assessment requirements

Licensure Eligible Program

The Cosmetology program at Southern Crescent Technical College is regulated by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology, 237 Coliseum Dr., Macon, GA 31217, Phone 478-207-2440.  Graduates are eligible to take the Georgia State Board of Esthetician Examination.

A minimum grade of C for each course is required to receive a Nail Technician TCC from SCTC.
