RNSG 1025 Electronic Medical Records Documentation
This course focuses on the principles of medical documentation. The course will also include a review of common medical and surgical terms, diagnoses, and procedures. Electronic medical record systems are introduced and medical record case studies analyzed. Legal aspects of medical records will be explored such as privacy, confidentiality, and security of information in electronic environments. Students will also examine the potential utility of a variety of social networking tools in communicating health-related information.
This course is required for students enrolled in the LPN/Paramedic Bridge ASN Option, LB13, and the Traditional ASN Option, NG73.
