Program Description

Industrial engineering technicians help industrial engineers implement designs to effectively use personnel, materials,

and machines in factories, stores, healthcare organizations, repair shops, and offices. They prepare machinery and

equipment layouts, plan workflows, conduct statistical production studies, and analyze production costs. These production technicians confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards; recommend changes to production standards for achieving the best quality within the limits of equipment capacity, and collect data to assist in process improvement activities. Graduates of a precision manufacturing and maintenance program will be prepared for highly skilled positions employing machine operations, production line operations, engineering analysis, systems analysis, instrumentation, physical controls, automation, manufacturing planning, quality control, and informational infrastructure.

Admission Requirements

  • Submit completed application and application fee
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Submit official high school transcript or GED transcript with test scores and ALL post-secondary transcripts in an official sealed envelope
  • Meet assessment requirements
