Program Description

The Plastics Technology program at Southern Crescent Technical College is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in the plastics industry. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter various careers within the plastics manufacturing sector, including roles in polymer chemistry, materials testing, molding processes, and safety practices. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing graduates for a range of occupations in the industry.Occupation Preparation:Students in this program are prepared for roles such as Plastics Technicians, Quality Control Analysts Manufacturing Process Specialist, Maintenance Technician, and Production Supervisors.

Admission Requirements

  • Submit completed application and application fee
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED is required
