Program Description
The Barbering for Cosmetologist Technical Certificate allows the student who holds a current Master Cosmetology license to receive additional training that will qualify the student to take the examination for Barbering.
General Admission Requirements
- Active Georgia Master Cosmetology License is required
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Submit official high school transcript or GED transcript with test scores and ALL post-secondary transcripts in an official sealed envelope
- Meet assessment requirements
Licensure Eligible Program
The Cosmetology program at Southern Crescent Technical College is regulated by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology, 237 Coliseum Dr., Macon, GA 31217, Phone 478-207-2440. Graduates are eligible to take the Georgia State Board of Barbering Examination.
Students must complete ALL BARB COURSES with a grade of C or higher in order to graduate.
Students at least 16 years of age to start the program and 17 years of age to sit for the State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam.

A minimum grade of C for each course is required to receive a Barbering for Cosmetologists TCC from SCTC.
